Hello. Hello to you all. Here's your question.
"Where the holy f&*%$#)(*& hell have you people been?"
"I mean, really. What's going on over there at the Fifty Three?"
Rather than put up here some sad list of excuses, let me borrow and then change up a well known quote from JURASSIC PARK. As the Jeff Goldblum character says, "Life finds a way."
So let me tweak that just a bit. "Life finds a way...to get in the way of things."
And that's about all I can throw out there for you to hungrily feast upon.
I can also let you know (the good, good news) is that for now, the dramas of the past year have subsided for us here...for the most part. Can't we just be undead, thus allowing us to worry only about our next hearty meal of bloody, living flesh? Is that so much to ask for? Much like the unfortunate souls on our beloved THE WALKING DEAD, it's our human drama which keeps interfering w/ the good and gory zombie stuff! Give the public what they want!
Well, I can tell you that me personally (Michael speaking here) that I have recently taken a leap of faith, and left my "day job" (talk about zombi-fied!) to pursue my writing career, unhindered by the stress and time-sucking of that aforementioned, dreaded "day job".
"That's great, Michael, but where's my f*(&^)(#&&^%$ ZOMBIE BOOK? About moods and stuff? Where is it? What's happening? Have you been living in a vacuum, unable to update all of us on this great project?"
No. No, I have not.
But I can tell you this. I now have tons of free time. I now am using all of my time to write. And, well I can tell you this also. This BOOK that we're working on, called THE 53 ZOMBIE MOODS: A BOOK FOR YOUR COFFEE TABLE, requires WRITING (among other work). And therein lies my good news. There is nothing standing in our way (real or perceived) which will hinder our forward motion on this worthy project. Vanessa and I are regrouping after this strange year of turmoil, and making plans anew.
True, you've heard these words before. "Can we trust you guys?"
Yes. Yes, you can.
In the next weeks, I will be updating and upgrading our online home here (this is where you are now) and making arrangements w/ Ms. Vanessa to get our asses in gear.
For now, and as before, we appreciate your patience, your support and your blood-thirstiness.
From the deepest part of your half-eaten hearts, we apologize (again) for the delay. But we have not given up on seeing this through, and we ask that you do the same.
Stay tuned our (more than) 53 supporters.
